Friday Fun
Woo...hoo...we made it to Friday, and I'm SO ready for the weekend. Today, our son Andrew (pictured on the left) leaves for 8 fun filled days with his friend and his family at a resort. There will be countless hours of golfing, golfing, golfing, did I say golfing???? lol....waterpark rides, bike rides, hikes, tennis, basketball, board games, and LOTS of laughs I'm sure. :-)
The one question I do have is this; do the parents who have so graciously extended an invite to Andrew know just how much food a 15 year old boy will consume while participating in all of the physical activties they will be doing???? I know that our grocery bill will be cut in 1/2 while he's gone........and for 8 WONDERFUL days, our daughter Ashley will be THRILLED that she will not have to HIDE food. :-)
What fond memories Andrew will have as he spends time with his friend!! Although he will be having LOADS of fun...I know he will be checkin' in with his Mamma....at least....oh....let's just say...I'll talk more to him via our cell phones during the course of the day than I do when he's home.
What a sweet guy....we'll miss him.........but at least we'll have FOOD while he's gone!!!
Enjoy your Friday~

I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for visiting my blog. Welcome to the blogging world! I hope your son has a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteOh, how well I know how much a teenage boy can eat. PTL we only had one! Now that he's on his own, he's decided he hates grocery shopping almost as much as I do. Out of earshot and under my breath I mutter, "Welcome to the *real* world." =)
