Go Confidently

Today as I was praying, God lead me to this great devotional. I'm not sure who penned the words, but I know that SOMEONE...needs to hear these words today.

OK...who am I kidding????? I NEEDED TO READ AND HEAR THESE WORDS TODAY!!!! :-)

Ephesians 3:16-18 says:
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ!



#1. Know that you are loved for WHO you are, and not for what you do!!
learn to be free from the need to impress others. Just look good for Jesus.
Confidence looks forward, not back, up..not down.
Focus on and do what God's blessed you with rather than wanting to do, and be like others.
Count on God to work in your life through your weaknesses.
Am I sitting on the sidelines with my gifts because I wish I had someone else's gift?

#2. Refuse to live in FEAR!!
Am I willing to move against my fear and trust God???
Has my fear stopped me?
If you see it...if you feel it...it's NOT called F-A-I-T-H.

#3. Have a Positive Attitude!!!
Your attitude....is YOUR choice.
God isn't negative, so you shouldn't be either.
Choose to be THANKFUL regardless of your situation, or circumstances.
See the glass as 1/2 full...rather than 1/2 empty.
Don't be a DEBBIE-DOWNER.

#4. Recover from Set Backs!!!
You are either be pitiful..or powerful.
Each day God gives you the gift of a new beginning.
Live with purpose and passion.
When at times it seems as though life is too tough (satan is fighting hard)....these are defining moments when God WILL show up!!!
Give God whatever strength you have left.

#5. Avoid Comparisions!!!
Be happy BEING YOU!!!
Stop being busy wanting what other's have...job..home...clothes...money...etc...
Get out of the boat of: i should have...or i aught a.
Don't be so busy making other's happy that you miss out on what God has for YOU!!!

#6. Take Action!!!
Be a problem solver rather than a problem causer.
Look for solutions rather than participating in negative talk, actions, deeds.
Don't be afraid to get out of your boat..even when circumstances may say...remain sitting.
Hold PEACE close to your heart.

#7. Don't live in the "if onlys", or "what if"!!!
keep your eye's steadfast on JESUS!!!
