Thankful Thursday
Today, I am Thankful for:
Psalm 37:23-26 (New International Version)
23 If the LORD delights in a man's way,
he makes his steps firm;
24 though he stumble, he will not fall,
for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
25 I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
26 They are always generous and lend freely;
their children will be blessed.
I’m SO Thankful that God provides his sweet G*R*A*C*E in my life, so that even when I stumble, his gracious, loving, hand is always there ready and willing to help pick me up.
Somedays, the way seems difficult, hard, and challenging, YET, God is teaching me that he WILL NOT forsake me, or leave me, or my children begging for bread.
Often Satan does such a number on us, and his desire is to get our eyes off of God, and what we have, and focus on us, and what we think we don’t have.
Why is it that our human nature (flesh) often seems to fight against what God’s perfect will and plan is for us??? I know for me, I’m finding that often I spend WAY too much time fighting….rather than resting in him. God does have my steps ordered. The good…and the bad….and today, I’m THANKFUL that I’m realizing that even though I may be passing through the waters…they WILL NOT overflow me. But rather, I’m simply passing through!!!
It’s tough, and hard…to be in “The Potter’s Hands”…YET…I know that he’s shaping, and molding me, into HIS image. And for that, I’m eternally THANKFUL!!

ReplyDeleteYou need to come on over and see my challenge for the month of November. I mean, we must be on the same wave-length or something, considering how many times you said "thankful" in your post today!! =)
