Please say a prayer for my Ashley. You may remember my post about her *Prayer Jog*, (if not, click here) and the fact that the end result was not prayer, but rather 2 skinned up elbows, knees, and a rather large gauge in her hip.
Ashley's been doctoring her poor knees, which took the brunt of her fall; and needless to say, the pictures via text message that she sent me did not look very good. In fact, I couldn't believe how swollen her poor knees were.
This past weekend Ashley began to notice a few soars developing on her calves, but she really didn't think much of it; until yesterday, when she showed them to her team leader, who immediately said it appears that Ash has a stapf infection,(which, I guess is very common in Maui) or a really bad infection.
Now mind you, finding a doctor a 1,000 miles from home is not an easy thing to do. But, after a number of phone calls with our insurance company we were able to locate a doctor (within our plan) within 3 miles of the YWAM base, at 100% coverage. PTL.
Ash is hoping to get into the clinic today, and as soon as I hear from her...I will update you. Please keep her in your prayers, as she's not a good *patient*, especially....a long ways from home!
I will leave you with the passage of scripture that God gave Ashley this morning as she was praying about her situation:
Eph 6:24
Grace (God's undeserved favor) be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with undying and incorruptible [love]. Amen (so let it be). (The Message)
Oh Kim, I am so sad to hear about Ash and what is going on with her poor Knees. Know that I have lifted her up in prayer and I will be waiting to here what the docs say. How scarey for you as momma to be so far away, I will say a prayer for you also.
ReplyDeleteSending you both (((HUGS))).
How hard to be away from Ashley when she's going through all this! God is good though, He'll take great care of her even when you can't.
ReplyDeletep.s. I just posted about my stocking pattern with a few extra notes. Since you asked, I thought I'd let you know. Happy sewing!
