Do you have true Joy???

According to Webster, Joy is defined as:

*Intense and especially ecstatic or exultant happiness*
*The expression or manifestation of such feeling*

Although Webster refers to Joy as a feeling, I believe that Joy also is a choice. I can choose to be joyful, regardless of my situation or my circumstances.

Nehemiah 8:10 says:
“For the Joy of the Lord is your strength”

I believe that God wants to inscribe on our hearts Joy….a true joy that can only be found in him.

I read this amazing quote (sorry, I couldn’t find who the author is) and it is now my prayer for 2008. Regardless of the *Season*…that I’m in, I will display J-O-Y!!

“Joy comes from embracing the circumstances and season of life where God has put you and accepting the responsibilities that go with that season.”

May you too find that the Joy of the Lord is your strength?

  1. My husband just taught on 'Joy' last night. Thanks for sharing this post. I personally need to find more Joy this year, but I have to get out of the way first. Know what I mean?

My husband's sermon was on Joy this past Sunday.
I've got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy, down in my heart, where? Down in my heart, where? Down in my heart. LOL!!
    I couldn't resist, I love that song.
