Today, I'm Thankful that....

Jesus holds the Keys to my life.

Often, I find in my life I desire to hold the keys so that I can gain access to doors I want opened. Yet, gently, and sometimes NOT so gently Jesus reminds me that HE...and he alone holds the keys.

I'm thankful that Jesus LOVES me enough...to keep certain doors closed....even though it may cause me discomfort. A hard lesson to learn (trust me, I'm not there yet) is that God's ways are FAR better than mine.

My prayer today is found in Deut. 5:32:
"Blessed Spirit, I give to You the entire responsibility of closing every road and stopping every step that is NOT of God. Let me hear Your voice behind me whenever I 'turn aside to the right or to the left'."

Thank-you Jesus...for LOVING me enough....to make me wait!

This has been such a theme God is putting on my heart this week.

Thank you for what you shared -- especially the part about God keeping doors closed in spite of our discomfort.

I misplace my keys all the time. I'm glad He holds my life's keys safely in His hands.

  9. Thank you for such a wonderful reminder. I can be so insistant sometimes about opening doors that I try to find a "spare key" and wow does this get me into trouble! Anything different from His key would be a cheap imitation and I don't want that I want the real thing...Jesus.
    Blessings,
    Linda
