Your will

Recently my husband bought Casting Crown's new CD, and trust me when I say, it s a keeper!!!

One of my favorite songs on this CD is called, "The Altar and the Door". This is a song that I can SO relate to.

So often I find myself, running to the altar, weeping, begging, crying to my Father, that he will change my heart....and then I leave the altar, and my follow through is gone!!

I love these words to this song:
"I'm trying so hard to stop trying so hard Just let You be who You are
Lord, who You are in me"

That's my prayer...Lord, help ME to STOP trying so hard...and give it all up to you!

Enjoy the lyrics to this song...and prayer for you today is this, take it to the altar, give it to Jesus, and allow him to transform your heart!! He knows all you are going through, and he's there...just waiting for you to give it all up, and give it to him!

Have a BLESSED Friday Friends~

Careless, I am reckless
I'm a wrong-way-travelin'-slowly-unraveling shell of a man
Burnt out, I'm so numb now
That the fire's just an ember way down in the corner of my cold, cold heart

Lord, this time I'll make it right, here at the altar I lay my life
Your kingdom come but my will was done, my heart is broken as I...

Cry, like so many times before
But my eyes are dry before I leave the floor, oh Lord
I try but this time, Jesus, how can I be sure I will not lose my follow through
Between the altar and the door

Here at the altar, oh my world so black and white
How could I ever falter
What You've shown me to be right

I'm trying so hard to stop trying so hard
Just let You be who You are
Lord, who You are in me
Jesus, I'm trying so hard to stop trying so hard
Just let You be who You are
Lord, who You are in me

Oh Lord, I

  1. Hi Kim,
I recently got this CD as well and I love it! Another song I love is "Slow Fade". A great reminder that sin can seep in slowly if we aren't careful to protect our eyes, ears and hearts!

    Happy Friday~~Kelley

  3. I was over at "My quiet corner" and saw your comment and thought I would check out your blog. I am a huge Casting Crowns fan too. I just posted a song of theirs the other day and I am going to post another later. I love this song and one of my other favorites is "Praise you in the storm." Well maybe all their songs are my favorites.
