Father God, as we enter this Holy Week, and we ponder all you went through to offer us the free gift of Salvation, may I NOT take for granted all that you endured. May I not focus on the cross I bear, but rather...as I carry my cross, keep my eye's focused and steadfast upon you!!!
Matthew 16:24 says:
"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Father, help me to DAILY take up my cross and follow you, regardless of my situation, or my circumstance!!
Friend, you may feel that the cross you bear is too much for you... But trust the Lord, because he IS faithful.
Jer 29:11 says:
(NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Blessing to each of you....this Easter season!

Kim,
ReplyDeleteTHANKS SO MUCH for your words of encouragement this morning. It's always a blessing to come here too!
I ESPECIALLY LOVE the cartoon illustration you used about carrying our cross. Our trials are all to bring us closer to HIM. Yes, they are "heavy" at times... but GOD IS ALWAYS THERE, walking beside us. Amen? =-)
Oh, how I love this! I have to remember that He can and will work all things together for my good. I need my trials. I need times of suffering to prepare me, to strengthen me. There is purpose in everything in my life. And He is worthy to be trusted.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this today!
Such a fantastic reminder!
What a cute little cartoon. Sad when he finds out his cross is too short.
ReplyDeleteJer 29:11 is one of my favorite verses. It is a good one to think of in times of trouble to remind us His plans are not to harm us.
Kim~
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I'm going to pass this on to some non-blogging friends. What a timely reminder.
