Thankful Thursday
I'm so excited that it is once again, Thankful Thursday. This week, God has been speaking to my heart about this passage of scripture has been....
Lamentations 3:25-26 (The Message)
25-27 God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It's a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It's a good thing when you're young to stick it out through the hard times.
As I've been meditating on this scripture, God's given me SO much to be THANKFUL for, this beautiful Thursday.
~Sometimes, God allows periods of *waiting* in my life, and I'm finding that as I wait, I'm resting, and trusting more in him. And for that, I'm Thankful!
~When I diligently seek him...then will I find him.
~I'm so THANKFUL that today, tomorrow, and forever, I have the blessed HOPE...that my Jesus will be with me, leading and guiding my every step.
~Persistency.....Resolve.....just a few words to describe how my heart WILL follow after Jesus...even in the hard times, when I'm not sure of my footing. It's in these times that Jesus gently reminds me of this: Habakkuk 3:17-19 (The Message)
Though the cherry trees don't blossom and the strawberries don't ripen,Though the apples are worm-eaten and the wheat fields stunted, Though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty,I'm singing joyful praise to God.I'm turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God.Counting on God's Rule to prevail,I take heart and gain strength.I run like a deer.I feel like I'm king of the mountain!
~I'm so Thankful that even if I were the ONLY person here, my precious Jesus would have STILL come to die for ME!!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your prayers and for the link!
Great list this week, especially the reminder that Jesus would have chosen to die just for me. I reassure my children of that often and needed the reminder myself today.
You are dear to my heart, friend.
DP's leg looks better today. Prayers are being answered!
Really nice thankful post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful scripture to meditate on. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteKim~I loved the Message version of that passage! I feel that "waiting" time as well. I know that God is working...healing...restoring peace...but the waiting....Wanda knew all about waiting. She waited almost 44 years for her healing...got it in glory! It is a time of tears and joy mingled.
ReplyDeleteI love you Kim! You are such an encouragment to my soul!
Thanks for sharing the scripture. I am not good at waiting. I try to rush to much. Maybe, God is telling me to slow down and listen to HIM ...
ReplyDeleteYou have given me something to ponder.
Your post blessed me greatly today! It is so hard to wait . . . but I have found that the longer I have to wait - the more I rely on Him!
ReplyDeleteThe Habakkuk scripture is one of my favorites!
Have a great week!
Love & FROG,
Heather
