I've been following the blog of Angie Smith, wife of Todd Smith who sings with the Christian group called, "Selah".
The Smith family, truly surrendered all...all their hopes, their dreams, the wishes and desires. Yet through their surrender, God's grace has sustained them.
The Smith's were Rocked to the Core, yet Jesus remained.
Please go here, to watch this powerful.....amazing video. It's long, but so worth the watch as you will NEVER look at life the same way again.
May my hearts prayer be, "I surrender all"....regardless of my situation, or circumstances.
All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In his presence daily live.
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me Jesus, take me now.
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
Hey Kim. Great post. I can't tell you what that song did to me on Sunday when Todd so faithfully sang it. I will never be the same.
ReplyDeleteGlad I found your blog. Love it, and look forward to reading more soon.
Morning, Kim, I've been following their story too. There is TRULY NOTHING more than GOD'S GRACE that could sustain us during times like that of losing a child. I'm so BLESSED to see that they're clinging to HIM!
ReplyDeleteNow.. I'm off to watch this video.
LOVE YOU!
Hey Kim. A friend of mine recently posted on Angie and her blog... I too have been following and praying for her and her family.
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult to know things like this happen but such an affirmation of the power of God in the midst of circumstance to read her perspective through it all.
Praising God with you, and Angie- for all He does in and through our circumstances.

Kim, I love this song and want to be able to truly surrender all to Christ. Sunday night at church my son's children choir performed a short musical they've been working on. One of the songs was "I Surrender All". It was so touching to hear 4, 5 and 6 yr olds singing these precious words.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you shared these beautiful words with us today!
Oh Kim...I remember singing this hymn too as a little girl....I remember most of all hearing My Mama sing it...I loved to hear her sing...as I stood beside her in the pew! She would always help me with the page of the hymnal. I also loved hearing my Daddy pray in church! Oh what precious precious memories I have!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet words on my blog....I had so much help from Connie (mommy 2 4 Treasures)....She walked me through the entire redo!
I'd be happy to share with you what she taught me anytime!
Love you my friend!!!
