Thankful Thursday
Today's scripture can be found in:
John 16:13-14
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.”
(ESV ~ emphasis mine)
Truth is something that we've been believing and praying for this past week as we've been walking our friends through a VERY difficult valley.
Today....this Thankful Thursday I'm SO thankful.....that no matter where I/you go...no matter how far I/you drift.....God's TRUTH will be revealed to our hearts...as he gently...pulls us home to him!!!
I'm so Thankful that my Jesus chases after a heart like mine....that often drifts...running from him...rather than too him!!
Oh...what sweet peace there is, when I RUN back to him....realizing that the dead end road I'm on...doesn't lead to him.
In his gentleness, and mercy...he waits patiently for my heart...to find it's way back to him.

I LOVE that song!!! So good to see the video that goes with it!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is saddened to hear about your friends. It is so hard to raise teenagers and especially when they are facing such difficult battles. You are right though, at least what she is doing is being exposed and bringing it out into the light is the first step in recovery! What a blessing it must be to that family to have you and your family encouraging them and praying over them!
Enjoy your day and I look forward to our next visit!
Love,
Kelley
I love this list, Kim. We have to surround ourselves with Truth. I've been reading your posts on your friends' situation and praying for you/them. I know it's heartbreaking. Let's believe God will bring her back to Him.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful list, Kim! Your heart is so precious...
ReplyDeleteYour post always bless my heart, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for this post and for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really needed this today! :)
I am still praying for your friends!
Love you, your openness, your heart for the Lord, and your heart for others! Oh, and I loved this song! I am going to go check out other songs by them!
Much Love,
Kimberly
Great post! What a powerful scripture. I love this one. I am thankful for a God like this!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Kim!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit here! I love your heart- your love for the Lord "oozes" from your writing.
Amen, Sister~ TRUTH will be revealed to our hearts.
I had to chuckle as I looked around your blog. My husband and I have been marred 20 yrs., we have an Andrew and an Ashley, and I was blogging about the Holy Spirit in Word-filled Wednesday yesterday (oh, and we share the same rose colored blogger template!). I just "happened" to pick your blog from the CWO blogroll- but I knew the Holy Spirit drew me here.
I prayed with you for your friend's daughter. Thank you, Jesus, that you are greater than "he that is in the world!"
Hope to get to know you better through your posts.
Many blessings,
Tracy
Hello, my Sweet Friend! I'm sad to hear that the situation is not over, although those like this are probably not quickly resolved. It's definitely a good thing that it's all out in the open - maybe now she'll get the help she needs. Or perhaps she'll get pressure from her peers to love herself?
ReplyDeleteI remember being a teen and if you don't fit in anywhere it's a very lonesome time. ESPECIALLY if you don't have your own friends or are not really close to your family.
Praying you see a MAJOR breakthrough soon.
LOVE YOU!
PS.. I enjoyed your TT post!
Hey Kim,
ReplyDeleteOh what a grateful heart you have! Hey that song was great too.
I love when you said this:
...In his gentleness, and mercy...he waits patiently for my heart...to find it's way back to him.
I'm so grateful for this!
Blessings my friend♥
Oh thank you for sharing this! What a wonderful song too. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteIn Him,
Nancy
I sense an urgent need here Kim. I join you in prayer for these friends. The valley is a place for growing...but it can be the most difficult place to live.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a blessing to so many. I pray for your strength and wisdom as well.
Be blessed dear friend :)
