As the news of the devastation following the cyclone that has hit My*anmar makes it's way aroudn the world, PLEASE keep this country, and it's people in your thoughts and prayers.
The cyclone, hit the city of Yan*gon, popluation of over 6.5 million people. Yan*gon is the city where Ashley and her YWAM team spend 3 weeks in February.
My*anmar is a very CLOSED country, which is not open at all to the gospel. While Ashley's team was in My*anmar, they were restricted with what they were able to do. Daily, Ashley and her team would walk the city streets praying silently, as any mention of God...could result in imprisonment.
The death, and those missing has now reach 10,000 people, and many are without clean water, food and shelter.
There are MANY Christian ophanages in My*anmar, and we pray that the leaders, and children are protected and have clean drinking water, food and shelter.
Please pray, that this tragedy will be an open door to the gospel...being show tangibly, in the country..as christians now try to meet their physcial needs, which may open the door to meeting their spiritual needs.
(NOTE: The reason you are seeing My*anmar spelled with the * is to protect YWAM. Often, countries who are closed to the gospel, use the internet to search for organizations that are in their country, preaching the gospel.)

Standing in the G-A-P.......
Today I have a heavy heart as a friend of mine is going through a situation that has gripped my heart. As I share this story, my prayer, is that you too...will stand in the gap for my friend....praying that TOTAL delieverance....will take place.
My friend J is a single Mom, who was born and raised in a Christian home, but after years of life, J made some mistakes and become a single Mom. J has since returned to the Lord and God is doing AMAZING things in her life. J has a SWEET daugther named M who is 15 years old.
M, has recently been dealing with MANY tough life issues.....from se*, to wrong music choices, to wrong friends, wrong relationships, to dabbling in some new ag# things!
M has been cutting herself, and talking suicide which resulted in her Mom taking her to the doctor. Of course, the doctors first thought was to put M on antidepressants. Well...the antidepressants have now caused M to try to commit suicide.
Yesterday afternoon, M was admitted to Children's Hospital under evaluation and she may be admitted to the psych ward for up to 2 weeks. She is under suicide watch 24 hours a day at this time.
I've spend a lot of time on the phone with J since late yesterday afternoon, and since I know M's history, this is truly a SPIRITUAL battle!!! M needs delieverance, and I serve a God...who will do just that!!!
Will you join with me and pray for both J and M as they have MANY decisions to make in the next few days.
For now, M is safe, and protected from herself, and from harming others. BUT...much needs to be done on our knees, as we seek God.
Currently, my dh and I are putting together a team that will be going to J's home...we will be annointed EVERY doorpost.....M's room.....etc....pleading the blood of Jesus over their home! We will also be annointing J and M with oil, and prayer for the bonds/cords that have hooked M to sin, to be cut and forever removed.
This is serious stuff my friends.....and God's calling the church...to BE the church!!
Satan has had his hay day with M.....and we are declaring...here and now that M will be loosed...and freed...in Jesus name. For when we MENTION...the name of Jesus...and his BLOOD...demons will tremble!!!!!
We will now enter a time of prayer and fasting, as we prepare....to wage war on the enemy.
I TRULY covet your prayers during this time.
On my knees....fighting a battle...for a precious young girl...who doesn't have the strength....to fight on her own!
