Hinds' Feet on High Places
A few weeks ago, my Children's Pastor's Wife introduced me to a book called:*Hinds' Feet on High Places" by Hannah Hurnard. As I read the back cover of the book, I was drawn in and excited about this amazing book.
So often, we are faced with life challenges and as I'm currently in *the school of waiting* on the Lord, I'm praying that this book helps me find rest in Jesus as I know he has EACH AND EVERY step ordered for my life.
My prayer is that through this journey, God will open the eye's of my heart to reveal areas in my life where I am fearful, filled with sorrow, and suffering, so that I can completely trust and rest in him.
Here is a brief summary of the book:
"Hinds' Feet on High Places is one of Hannah Hurnard's best known and best loved books. This book is a beautiful allegory dramatizing the yearning of God's children to be led to new heights of love, joy, and victory. Follow Much-Afraid on her spiritual journey through difficult places with her two companions, Sorrow and Suffering. Learn how Much-Afraid overcomes her tormenting fears as she passes through many dangers and mounts at last to the High Places. There she gains a new name and returns to her valley of service, transformed by her union with the loving Shepherd."
I pray you take a peek into my thoughts on this journey.
