Following God's Heart
As many of you know, our daugther Ashley will be leaving us September 13th to follow God's heart and participate in YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Maui, and then a third world country.
Part of the prepartion for this mission trip is to raise funds of support while there; so today we will be traveling back home as Ashley has an amazing opportunity to share her heart with my Father and Mother-In-Loves church regarding her Mission Trip.
Please be in prayer for Ashley as she's prepared what she feels God would have her share with the body; and that the financial needs will be met as well!
We know that God has amazing things for Ash as she takes this step of faith...and follows after the heart of God; and we are SO blessed to see the beautiful young woman of God Ashley has grown into!
Although the thought of Ashley being gone for 6 months will be difficult, knowing that she's walking with Jesus...following the path he's set before her....how can we be sad??? There is NO greater JOY as a parent...than to see your children seek after God with their ENTIRE heart....no matter the cost!!!
God has TRULY blessed us with our precious ASHLEY!!!
Have a GREAT weekend...and we'll see you on Tuesday!

Kim you have an amazing daughter there and I am so in awe of you and her. If my little girl grows up to be such a wonderful young lady like your Ash then I will be thrilled. I am praying for her and for all of you every day.
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Anne
Blessings as you all head "home" for the weekend. I'll keep you in my prayers ~ hopefully all of the rest of her needed support will come in as a result of her sharing. =)

I just had to come comment because I saw your comment over at Debbie's. We are A/G too--and I always like to say hello to a fellow A/G believer. You have a beautiful family, and I know you are so proud. It still must be very hard to let your daughter go--even if it is for a very good reason. Prayers.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful and it sounds like she is on the inside too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing.
My son is leaving for Italy soon in the Air Force.
Blessings as you send her off.

What a fabulous blog. I joined YWAM aged 19 for my DTS, I now understand how my folks felt seeing their only child leaving home. I re-joined YWAM in 1995 through to 1998 working mainly in France and Scotland. May God bless and prepare you all and your daughter for this new step.
